Sir, my daughter is 1ys and 2 months old. She has problem in stool passing. Every time when she passes stools she starts crying due to hardness. please give some suggestions to overcome this problem. Regards

Constipation is a chronic problem seen in children and most important cause is diet modification so firstly it should be taken care of. give good fibre diet with plenty of liquids and avoidance of food which cfcan aggravate constipation like Banana excess of milk and maida containing food.
medications like lactulose ,PEG or glycerine suppository should be second option
Constipation is usually a very common problem seen in many cases where the most important causative factor is decrease intake of high fibre diet along with lesser fluid intake.
