Q.
sir, my baby is 20 days old and she is suffering from cough. Doctor prescribed me to use nasal drops wheather it will clear the cough at throught sir? please suggest me.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine f which shofuld be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to rexduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

nasal saline drops are used to cure nasal congestion.
for sore throat ,I would suggest to offer breasfeeding more and more.
it is best remedy and visit your pediatrician for once.
