sir my baby have 3mm pda in heart . what we can do . we wait to close itself or shift to operation. tell me sr .she is now 16 month old .what serious this problem .

A doctor will close a PDA if the size of the opening is big enough that the lungs could become overloaded with blood, a condition that can lead to an enlarged heart. This is for adults im not sure about babies
