Sir, baby is 3 years his cough is not getting cured the cough is going on from 3 weeks. doctors always calls for have some patience but the same is not getting cured. Some times there is high fever also pl guide

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children2 years agoA. uh cscold and cough most of the times because of viral infection sometimes even allergies please give steam inhalation frequently to liquefied the secretions and saline nasal drops in nose of the baby

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchuoodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
