Mom of a 2 yr old girl1 Year ago
Q.

Since I started solids to my baby. She is constipated. I had consulted with doctors many times and they Duphalac syrup but I see no changes in her. I have included fibers in her diet but no ease in passing motions. I have to give her suppository then only she will pass motion else not. When not given she will put efforts in passing motion but she is unable to on her own. Any suggestions would help. Thank you!!

A. constipation in babies less than one year is very common and more inform fat babies and also when initially the semisolid food has been started after six months of age. In this case, you can give some medicine like enzyme preparation in a proper dose suggested by the doctor and cows, milk should be avoided beforefg one year of age, also do some modification in the diet as per guidance medication are required, but it should be given only in medical supervision
