Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. not advisable before medical consultation but the medicine which can be given without any side effects is nasal saline drops because it is simple salt water and will help in decreasing both cough and cold in the child

Hello ma’am Yes if your child has cold and cough you should be giving proper course of medication to the child at least under the age of six months because what happens is you cannot go for any kind of home remedy to be given to a child under the age of 6 to 7 months which is y it is recommended to go for a proper course of medication
