Raxidine m forte gel is safe for 17months baby?it is given for my baby for mouth ulcer due to hand foot mouth disease

A. Hand foot mouth disease is viral in origin and mostly symptomatic treatment is required because it is a self limiting disease and here fever come and small eruptions may be seen in hands foot face and other parts of the body along with oral ulcerations so give plenty of liquids to maintain proper hydrationgu and maintain a good hygiene . Some multivitamin sgyrup along with antihistamine can be given . For oral ulcer dologel can be applied locally

A. If your doctor has given it then it would be safe only because doctors have a better knowledge than we do have so if the doctor is suggesting you after examining the child then you can hundred percent trust your Dr and go for what they suggest
