you can include variety of homecooked foods and avoid packed, processed and junk foods
include banana, chikko, potato, nuts and dried fruits, variety of fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, stuffed roti or paratha, rice and daliya recipes with veggies, milk, paneer, milk shakes, stuffed idli, dosa, pancake, chilla, porridge, sheera, veg upma, sheera, egg, chicken and fish if non-vegetarian, etc and use ghee in meal preparations
try to offer handy snacks inbetween after 2 hours intervals
avoid force feeding and overfeeding.
Aditi SinhaMom of a 9 yr 8 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi, foods like potato, banana with milk, egg, oatmeal, nuts, chicken are known for having weight gain properties. also include dry fruits in the diet, you can give it as powder in milk. also add all seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Ensure baby has proper rest as well and have good play time.
