ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear parent, for your 8 months old daughter, give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. continue to breastfeed and give recipes like porridge, kheer and milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. you can give eggs and non veg foods. add powdered nuts like almonds to baby's food. add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. give 3 meals in a day and up to half katori every time.

8 AM-ragi porridge
11 AM-any fruit purée
1 PM-rice and dal porridge or khichadi
4 PM-any vegetable purée
7 PM-Idli, Upma. Make a timetable so that you can cover different type of veggies, fruits so that baby get all the nutrients. With this give a gap of two hours and exclusively breastfeed and you can give liquids like dal water, fresh fruit juice made at home. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, citric fruits, cow milk until baby completes one year.
