include whole grain cereal, pulse dal, seasonal fruits and vegetables etc
encourage daily physical activity along with diet

Give three meals with three interspersed snacks every day.Add plenty of fluids to their diet – six to eight cups a day which includes water, juices, soups etc. This prevents constipation.Avoid sugary drinks like artificially sweetened juices, cola, etc., which are full of empty calories.
