please inform me some medicine since morning my child was suffering with cough now waken up from sleep and started crying and i gave her maxtra syrup 5 ml she vomited and she's suffering from cough

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchuodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accordding to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Hi The medicine you gave us for cold it is an antiallergic and the dosage would be to 2 ml I do not know when you do not have an idea why do you give such a heavy dosage to the child it’s just over dose of medicine that you have given to the child currently I just recommend you to go ahead with giving ginger juice and honey mixture to the child that will give a Health
