Q.

Please advice some weight gaining home made food for my 15 months baby...specially breakfast and dinner...which fruits we should avoid if baby is suffering from cold? can we give grapes?

A. for good Growth of the child it is important that the child should get proper nutritional requirement which is very important for the growing child specially iron and vitamin D is required for better growth and cognition . also there is role of other micronutrients. one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth. any kind of infection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwisse. after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

Hi mommy Give healthy protein rich nutritious food take seasonal fruits and vegetables which is rich in all minerals and vitamins maintain hydration Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc
