@paediatrician Hi my daughter is 17 months old she was having cough cold n fever doc gave me ascoril ls and ibugesic plus for 3 days her fever has cured but she's coughing cough is not totally cured so should I continue the ascoril syrup

A. fever is cured and for cough and cold doc gave me ascoril Ls but is not cured yet but has reduced alot so can I continue taking ascoril la for cough n cold

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives merfdicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
