Q.

Our son has fever 101 and we have given him crocin os 240 . However even after 2 hrs of giving the syrup his body is warm. Why is the temperature not coming down

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should beg carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. hello since the temperature is 101 it would be better for a ticket sponging and also check the temperature and if it is about 100 then it would be better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
