Q.

Our pediatric recommended us to , not to give cow milk to Agastya , so is it really not good for baby? #asktheexperts

A. it is only avoided before 1 year of age and at this age you can offer cow milk to the child. the thing is that at this age you can go for any type of milk for the child and it can be either formula milk or packet milk or powder milk or animal milk that is either buffalo milk or cow's milk for your child. initially you will have to offer outside milk in small quantity and if the child is tolerating that amount then gradually you can increase the quantity of milk but if the child is not tolerating then kindly change the type of milk you are giving . (when you boil the animal milk and then cool it you can remove the upper layer of fat and it becomes a toned milk)

A. Actually cow milk is good but buffaloes is anyways a better choice if your doctor is not advising you to give this milk you should ask your doctor that why they refusing to give cows milk and also then what is going to be an option that you can give to the child if you’re not advisable to give cows milk to the child
