Q.
Old ear piercing keeps getting infected and skin appears dry, plus at the back of ear piercing, red. Have tried antiseptic creams, putting a neem twig in.. no relief. Any advice? She’s almost 4 and her ears were pierced at age 7 months.

You will have to remove the material that she is currently wearing in her ear because it seems that probably it’s not suiting her skin. You might need oral antibiotics as well as local antiseptic . Get your child examined by a paediatrician who can do the needful.

Consult your doctor for a personal diagnosis and seek medical advice. Maintain a good personal hygiene routine and follow your advice. Good luck and take care.
