Q.

noticed a slight a tinge of blood in my baby's poop this evening (see pic). what could be the possible reason? any reason to worry?

A. give only breastmilk till completion of six months and feed more frequently for more production. limit use of diapers. mother should strictly avoid spicy and oily food and stay hydrated

A. A common cause of blood in an infant's stool is a slight anal tear (fissure) from baby straining with the passage of the stool. The small amount of blood from an anal fissure tends to look like a red streak on the outside of the stool.
