SanthoshiMom of a 11 m old child12 months agoA. Its safe not to worry. Baby hiccups are quite common and usually not a cause for concern. They are typically caused by irritation to the diaphragm, the muscle at the base of the lungs. reasons why babies might get hiccups is Overfeeding or swallowing air while feeding can cause the stomach to expand and press against the diaphragm, triggering hiccups
