A. Newborn babies need their mothers constantly because they feel safe, warm, and comforted when close to them. After spending 9 months in the womb, the outside world is unfamiliar, so they seek their mother’s presence, smell, heartbeat, and voice for reassurance. This closeness also helps with bonding, feeding, and emotional development. Frequent wanting or clinging is normal and shows healthy attachment—not a bad habit. Over time, as the baby grows, they naturally become more independent.
