Q.

My toddler of age 2yr 11month old is suffering from fever cold n cough since 3days. I've been giving syp. P-250, syp maxtra, and started antibiotic syp clamp kid forte from today. Even after administring antibiotic, body temp is raising after 6hours. She's even not eating properly.

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine whfich should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there parahcetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Its When three days you should consult your paediatrician go ahead with the for the check up maybe a blood test or something because of the fever does not subside within three days and that would be a viral fever or infection so it is advisable for you as of now that you please get a check with your doctor
