Q.

My son keeps on hitting his head on things to hurt himself mostly when annoyed and sometimes without any reason also. Pls guide. #asktheexpert

A. Hello.. I have seen many doctors who gives answer like that not reading what the question is all about. Have you ever seen like this: does he turn his head back like.. watching TV with body facing another face tilted to watch tv downward to up? don't take No as an answer. stubborn and even he hit his head doesn't feel any pain to him? speech or babbling not started. for further information contact me on forum.trinity23@gmail.com

A. it is important to keep the child for observation for at least 48 hours and if the child develops danger signs like severe headache or excessive crying or excessive vomiting or abnormal movements or lethargy or seizures then kindly meet your doctor immediately for examination. if none of above danger signs are present then you can follow wait and watch policy x for pain you can give paracetaxmol which will help in also decreasing swelling on the head. also apply ice locally.
