my son is preterm and 5months old hez on formula hez not getting excited are not recognising mother and father, but he smiles very rarely whenever he wants to smile he will and cooing also same

A. Every child is different and slowly gradually they recognise their parents of course after the age of 3 to 4 months as they gain their vision but not every child can have the same level of excitement as expected to be so what you are right now seems very normal in case of doubt if you can always discuss it with your doctor
