A. You are not supposed to give cow milk to babies under 1 year of age. If milk is not sufficient, you should be giving formula. You can check with pediatrician on this.

A. straining while passing stool as well as urine is normal. the child is crying due to colic pain (due to gas) and not due to the reason that the child has not passed the stool. infants may not pass stool for 10 days also and if the consistency of the stool is semi sodlid to solid it is not constipation. you can consider constipation only if it is hard and dry stools. you can give anticolic medicines and meet your doctor. burping / uprighdt position for 20 minutes will help in decreasing the gas and future colic pain
