Q.

my son is not gaining wait.he is 9 month old and his wait only 6.2 kg and still not started sitting and crawling..please suggest

A. You can give banana, potatoes, sweet potatoes and continue feeding breastmilk or formula. You can add homemade ghee in babys regular meals. You can also give warm rice mixed with curd. All these could help weight gain. Always follow the two day gap rule between introducing new foods. Also Usually babies sit around four to seven months. By eight months most if them would be able to sit without support for few minutes. But this is not a definite rule and some babies can have a delay in reaching milestone. This doesn't necessarily mean any problem. Your baby should get her muscles strong enough to balance herself and it could differ with each baby. So keep encouraging her to sit by keeping pillows on her sides. She should be sitting soon. The same is with crawling. The baby will do it eventually.
