Q.
My son is feeling itchy in the ear, he starts rubbing and blood comes out from his ear whenever he rubs hard, please suggest what to do, I am worried after seeing blood, thank you.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal.
if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you can apply coconut oil over skin of ear.
do not use earbuds to clean the internal ear cavity.
external ear can be cleaned with the help of clean cotton cloth.
treatment is given only if the chxild is crying with pain while itching.
for pain you can give paracetamol.
the most common cause would be due to either referred teething pain or due to dry skin of the ears.

I believe consulting an ENT doctor would be the right step for you to take they have an expertise in these area so they can actually check what’s going on inside what’s the problem and accordingly they can suggest you the treatment and medication that you need to follow the problem that is there
