Q.

My son is 6 years old and he is suffering from high fever from last 2 days and we have given half calpol but fever is remain as high as last two days what should I do

A. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever To body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carxried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
