A. It usually happens due to the deficiency of Vitamin B12 or due to stress or due to the usage of synthetic soaps and shampoos. The deficiency of Vitamin B12 and minerals like copper and zinc in the body can result in greying of hair. Ask your doctor whether any vitamin supplements can be given for the same. Offer foods rich in Vitamin A like yellow fruits and green vegetables; foods rich in Vitamin B like yoghurt, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, cauliflowers and bananas; foods rich in zinc like green vegetables, chicken and red meat; foods rich in iron like dried apricots, eggs, wheat, parsley and sunflower seeds; foods rich in copper like whole grains and seafood; foods rich in proteins like whole grains, soy, cereals and meat. Boil Amla and coconut oil together and massage your child's scalp with it. Or boil curry leaves in coconut oil till they turn black. Then apply this oil on your child's hair.
