Q.

my son is 5 months old and has got cold n cough . how to cure? he is having formula milk but I want to feed my own but doctor Said my son is unable to digest my milk. how to increase milk supply though I used to feed him for 1st month

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectogyrant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accordding to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. Take ¼-1/2 teaspoon of Shatavari powder.Take it with milk or honey twice a day after taking lunch and dinner.Repeat this on a regular basis to improve breast milk production.
