my son is 4yrs old... from two days he is suffering from severe cold and from night he is crying and said that he is having earpain too... pls suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. For cold you can give syp maxtra 2.5 ml to the child 2 times per day and try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold.
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.
For FEVER as well as PAIN kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
Also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then onlyg consider it as fever and give Paracetamol
