Q.

My son is 4 yrs 10 months old. He many a times complains about having pain in left leg at night . Is it growing pains or something else as he always complains about these pains in the night and that too in the left leg only.

A. there are multiple causes of limb pain during this age because it can be normal due to growth pain. it can also occur due to nutritional deficiencyc mainly vitamin d, vitamin b12 iron and calcium deficiency. if there is excessive playful activity by the child during the daytime it is but obvious that during the night time there might be limbx pain. if the limbs are paining without any activity then yes medical examination and treatment will be required
