Q.
my son is 3.8 years old. he had got cold and cough a month ago. we had taken medicine and nebulizer for him. he was alright but from last 2 days. he is getting fever. which is high fever. we are giving crocin in every 6 hrs. but looks till crocin effect is there he is alright as soon as close 6hr of dose he is getting fever. what should we do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives gumedicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the hdoctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
