my son is 3.8 years old. he had got cold and cough a month ago. we had taken medicine and nebulizer for him. he was alright but from last 2 days. he is getting fever. which is high fever. we are giving crocin in every 6 hrs. but looks till crocin effect is there he is alright as soon as close 6hr of dose he is getting fever. what should we do

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives gumedicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the hdoctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
