my son is 2yrs 3 months old now and he never sleeps through the night. he is mostly waking up every 2 hrs, cries a little and goes back to sleep as soon as I take him in my lap. I'm a obgn myself

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. there are number of reasons of excessive crying in children because it can be either due to some type of colic pain or digestion problem or due to some type of nasal blockage abdominal pain xor any body pain so if it is not improving meet your doctor and for pain you can give one dosage of paracetamol.
if it appears to dbe colic pain you can give anti colic medicine and if it is due to nasal blockage you can give nasal saline drops.
many times changing the environment of the child helps as well as diverting the child helps
