My son is 2months 22days old n his weight is 4.7kg. His birth weight was 2.75kg. I’m worried if he under weight as my doc said he s below his weight n need to strt formula. Could u pls help me

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear mum, weight of 4.7 kg is a normal weight for 2 months 22 days old baby considering a birth weight of 2.75 kg. your baby's weight gain has been normal. For healthy weight gain, you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
