A. Hello, Loss of appetite is normal for a child after fever and any illness. Its important that she drinks plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. For an older baby who has started solids, offer clear liquids and foods with high water content like juices soups. Serve up her favorites food..be respectful of your baby's likes and dislikes when illness makes her appetite iffy. If your baby doesn't want to eat, period, don't force it. And once they recover from their illness, their appetites usually recover too .

A. Illness sometimes causes loss of appetite. If your child has a sore throat, rash, fever or other symptoms, your child may be sick. Contact or see a doctor if your child seems unwell or is not getting better.
