Q.

My Son is 17 months old. We couldn't give PCV 13 vaccine as per schedule to my son. We gave vaccine on Following months. PCV 1 - 1 month age PCV 2 - 4 months age PCV 3 - 6 months age As per schedule, PCV booster should be given to 15 months age. As we gave initial three PCV vaccines late, so in which month we should we give PCV booster vaccine to my son. Please help.

A. Vaccination needs to be given to child only when the present covid situation becomes favourable and under full safety precautions.if there is any delay it will not have any adverse effect but mandatory vaccinations should be on the priority list followed by optional vaccine later on . Vaccination for children can be considered in the current situation as the cases of covid are less to some extent . In such condition most important Vaccination should be given on priority which your doctor will decide. Influenza vaccine should be given to children above 6 months of age in this season if not given to avoid unnecessary hospitalisatotion and other risk factors because of flu infection.
