My son is 16 months old he had running nose n cold for the past 6 days doctor has prescibed promethazine syrup IP phenergan 3ml - thrice a day.. just wanted to check if it is safe for my baby since I see many mixed reviews in google

A. #AskTheExpert My baby is 15 month old she is having cold since 1 month doctor says that she have allergy due to which she is having cold. today I visit homeopathic doctor since we can't give too much allopathic medicine to child , homeopathic dr told that her 70% lungs is filled with cough and glands are swollen she had given d medicine but please suggest me what to do

A. yes it is fine. your baby will be able to sleep peacefully and it helps to cure cough and cold.. the mixed reviews are because of a reason that people use it intensionally to make baby feel drowsy so that the baby sleeps through the night. and that might be dangerous.

A. babies having cold and cough doctor has given a medicine then you should trust your doctor prescription it is absolutely safe and a doctor will always give you the best medicine for your baby
