Offer different textures of foods. Offer foods in colourful plates. Give healthy snacks. Give peanut butter sandwich. Give the kid a bowl and a spoon and let him or her feed himself or herself. Let the kid make a mess and play with the food. This is how the child will learn to touch, play and finally taste the food. Praise the child even if he or she finishes a small part of the meal. Make family meal a pleasant experience. Let the child learn seeing you enjoy the meals cooked by you. Offer small portions of food and offer more only when the kid asks. Do not force the child to eat. Offer his or her favourite foods along with new foods that you want to introduce.
