Q.
My son is 10 weeks old. He didn't pass stool for 10 days. 11th day I took him to doctor. They stimulated by using glycerine. he pooped immediately. This was done on Monday and after that it's three days now he didn't poop.. please suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day.
If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool.
No medicines needs to be given inf such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard.
It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else beforef completion of 6 months of age.
intermittent crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation.
