My son is 1 year and 9 months old, he still enjoys pacifier. We are apprehensive lest it should thwart the cognitive development of the baby. Kindly guide.

A. Better to avoid it. Oral Infections. Pacifiers can make the baby prone to oral infections. ... Speech Problems. Pacifier might also disturb baby's oral growth and development. ... Allergies. Pacifiers might cause a lot of allergies to your baby such as throat infection.
