Q.

My son having stomachache, vomiting n loose motions one week back.. consulted with doctor,he advised rifaxamin,lanspro,and cyclospam..but from yesterday he again having stomachache and did vomiting today..any idea is thr is any infection or what..he is eating home made food.

A. Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for devhydration is required if loose motionghs are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

A. Rotavirus is a common cause of gastroenteritis, often called stomach flu. The virus infects the stomach and intestines. It causes vomiting and diarrhea, especially in babies and young children.
