Q.
My son has running nose for last 5 days.. What can I do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is a viral disease that usually occurs with symptoms like sneezing, running nose, cough ,sore throat, nasal congestion and fever.at times it can be allergic too.
Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants .
steam inhalation would help in relieving congestion n soothing the irritation in nose and throat .you can give sinarest/wikoryl /ascoril flu cold in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms but it will be better to take only under medical guidance.so please get examination and treatment done by your pediatrician it will be better.no self treatment should be done.it may tabrke upto two weeks also in recovery so dnt worry if gradually symptoms are getting relieved.child will resume normal activities thereafter.

You You consult your doctor ones for that they will advise you with the right kind of antiallergic that you should go for because there are too many medicines available and what is going to be suitable for your child according to the situation your child is in the paediatrician would be able to advise you better
