Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. proper language / speech development will start between 18 months of age to 2 years of age. there is no need to worry before that just concentrate on the diet and regular interaction with the child. also speech and language develops properly with more people available to interact with the child avoid usage of tv mobile and laptop because they are the most common reasons for delayed speech and language development. the most important thing is is is that before speech understanding of the commands given by the parents should be present. by 18 months if the child is not following basic commands then only you have to meet the doctor requirement of speech therapy will also be discussed by your doctor

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly. if the speech does not comes evkoen by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
