Q.
My son has fever 102 temp. Which antibiotic injection I gave to my son please guide me

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .other medicine like mefenamic acid ibuprofen can also be given .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. hto
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Madam antibiotics and injections are not given randomly just by mentioning that there is one 02 fever so what an injection can I get things don’t work like this you have to get a check with your doctor they will suggest what is needed to be done don’t have anything randomly without consulting your doctor
