Q.

my son has a fever of 104 he have been admitted in the hospital but it doesn't seems to get better what can I do

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carriedx out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. is all the test done ... if the fever is nt coming down then blood test needed follow the doctor keep baby well hydrated as water helps in maintaining body temperature.. take care
