Q.

My son had his first vaccination (DTaP) done yesterday morning. He developed fever after 7 in the night. Doctor prescribed calpol if fever. Even after calpol the didn’t reduce. I opted for painless but my child is suffering of fever. Is it common to develop fever after a painless vaccine, how long this fever lasts, and when do i need to visit the doctor?

A. Hello, your baby boy is 45 days old and he has received a vaccinations at 6 weeks and then he got a fever which doesn’t respond to paracetamol then give him frequent breast feeding and it may be alright or consult with your paediatrician
