Q.

my son had a urine test and the result says p.h- 5.0 WBC- 3-5/hpf epithelial cell- 4-5/hpf others it says nil other organism - bacteria present is he having UTI?have a fever for 2days now.

A. You must consult a pediatrician as he may be having mild urine infection.

A. There may be some chances of urine infection. well check the doctor

A. it shows that it is having some infection but it is advisable that you should go for urine culture report which will tell whether the child is carrying some urinary tract infection or not and then start medicines for it

A. if he has fever and these are the parameters in the report then it could be UTI. consult your pediatrician itself once who can prescribe antibiotics if the baby has infection. it's common and nothing to worry but if thee is infe tion better to start medicines soon. maintain hygiene and keep the baby hydrated well to avoid further infections.
