my son does cluster feeding before going to sleep and takes 2 feeds on next 8 hours and gaining weight constantly is that k to take only 2 feeds in 8 hours for a 2 month old baby..and his birth weight 2.4 kg and 67 days old weight is 4.5 kg.kindly guide

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please make sure that the baby is in a correct position to latch to the breast properly. Please massage your breast gently before feeding the baby. Please check for any oral thrush in the Baby and clean it if it is there. Also, also check for any nasal blockage in the baby, which might be preventing the baby to suck the milk. Baby weight depends on birth weight and normally doubles by the age of six months and triples by the age of one year. If baby is active and taking feed properly then no need to panic. Mother should take healthy food items including fresh fruits and dry fruits. Thanks and take care
