Q.

My son after DPT vaccination having pain and swelling on thigh...not walking properly ... what to do ... please give some advise vaccination date: 11th May, 2024 #Vaccination

A. Thank you do much sir. Boy is 4 yr 9 month old. Actually , Boy has no fever. Only pain and swelling at injection site. Because of that, he is not walking properly ... Please advise

A. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well asj thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to h3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever g
