Q.
My son 4.6 yrs old has wet cough from few weeks and cold running nose since yesterday. Today Doc prescribed Asthalin inhaler and piriton cs syrup. Now he is complaining of throat pain. Should I give crocin or ibuprofen along with piriton to relieve from throat pain. If yes at what intervals

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the tyjope of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repedated after 6 hours again if required .

If your child is having throat pain then it could be due to some throat infection also which is why these issues are not subsiding till now don’t give any pain killer without consulting the doctor because the treatment you are already taking so don’t I don’t do it from your side talk to your doctor before you go ahead with any medicationWrite Your Answer Here
