Author of questionMom of 2 children2 years agoA. i did recording also..its not startle reflex..it's continuous jerk of hands or legs in sleeping only..sometimes while breastfeeding too he did these type of movements..my doctor didn't see it properly n said it's ok..but I wanted to know ..i can share video..but i don't know how to do it here
Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the child anxd take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.
